Planet Bizzaro is an unique combination of live action, puppetry and CG animation. Specifically designed for Tweens, this show utilizes state-of-the-art puppets. In the stories, we meet a 15 year old Earth girl named Amber (played by well known teen TV host Camilla Hansen), a typical teenage girl who strikes up an online friendship with Zoomer, a 15 year old boy who lives far away. What Amber doesn’t realize is that Zoomer lives 317 light years away! Zoomer and his kooky friends live on Planet Bizzaro, a small dust-ball of a planet that is galaxies away from Earth.
Each episode starts with Amber online chatting with Zoomer about something that she feels strongly is wrong with her world at that moment. The topics range from typical teenage issues like peer pressure and parents to environmental and social issues. As Zoomer responds to her he begins to explain how he’s dealt with similar kinds of problems on his planet and we flashback to a story set on Planet Bizzaro where Zoomer and his zany friends go through a similar situation.
At the end of each episode, Zoomer and Amber wrap up our story and link the experiences to her earthly worries. The episodes typically finish with Amber figuring out her problem through Zoomer’s wonderful stories.
